A short guide to the forest around us
The trees behind the terrace are older than the café by a century. Ferns grow where the roof drains, the monstera by the window arrived on its own, and the birds arrive at seven whether or not we are open.
If you sit on the terrace long enough you will meet all of it. Bring a book; you will not read much of it.
